SFP+ Cage

An SFP+ cage, or Small Form-factor Pluggable Plus cage, is a component used in networking equipment to accommodate SFP+ transceiver modules. SFP+ transceivers are hot-swappable, compact optical and electrical transmitters/receivers used in high-speed networking applications, typically in data center environments. The SFP+ cage provides the physical interface for inserting and securing these transceiver modules into network switches, routers, network interface cards (NICs), and other networking devices.
